The Smart Coast Walkable Communities Study Group compiled a summary report in January 2007 describing what each city and Baldwin County has in place concerning walkability and connectivity.

2006

On April 18, 2006, Smart Coast hosted a conference called Imagine: A Region with Mixed Use Cities. The objective of the conference was to educate and inspire residents to get involved in local development decisions. 2002-2004

Smart Coast, under the auspices of Healthy Coastal Communities Initiative (HCCI) completed a number of studies to gain a "snapshot in time" of coastal growth and development issues. As an initial step, elected and appointed officials in the region were interviewed to gain their perceptions of growth and development. Read the results of these interviews in these two reports.
